Reflections on SGNOG11
Last Friday, I had the pleasure of presenting at SGNOG11, and what an incredible experience it was! where I shared our journey from legacy systems to an event driven architecture

The event brought together some of the most talented DC professionals in the field, and the quality of the talks did not dissapoint me at all.
From the moment I arrived, I could feel the energy and enthusiasm of the community. It was inspiring to meet so many like-minded individuals, each bringing their own unique expertise and perspective.

The networking opportunities were invaluable, I had insightful conversations with people working on cutting-edge projects and learned a great deal from their experiences, some of them on some different directions, like opportunities on how to standarise OOB management to ways of using Netbox for Network automation.
One of the biggest highlights for me was the diversity of topics covered during the sessions. While my focus has been on automation and infrastructure, I was able to dive into subjects I hadn’t explored in depth before, such as submarine cables and network SLIs. These discussions broadened my understanding of how interconnected our work truly is, and I came away with fresh ideas on how to incorporate some of these learnings into our own projects.
I left feeling more energized and motivated, with a clearer vision of where our industry is heading! Can’t way to start applying some of the fresh new ideas that came up!
Looking forward to applying these insights and staying in touch with the amazing professionals I met along the way!
Stay tuned for the recording!
